Sexy Saturday NaNoWriMo edition!

For my American friends, I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving and didn't overspend on Black Friday! This week's Sexy Saturday offering is from my current work in progress. It's the third book in my Catnip and Cauldrons series, tentatively titled Feral Escape and should be available in 2014. Since it's the last day of NaNoWriMo, I am furiously banging away at my keyboard and since I just endured two Thanksgiving dinners back to back I'm fighting a turkey hangover!

Anyway, I love this story. I'm so happy with how it's turning out. Ivan and Molly are a lot of fun. If you've read the second book, Onyx Shadows, you've already met them. But they've been bugging me for a story of their own! They've got their issues, but they're working on them. One thing I didn't expect was how much these two just can not keep their hands off one another! Sheesh!

Ivan sat up to watch Molly return, appreciating every tempting curve of her lithe body. She clutched a shiny, pink envelope sized bag in her hands. Stopping at the foot of the bed, just out of his reach, she waved the bag at him.

She cocked her hip out and planted her hand on it, "How bad do you want it?"

A growl erupted from his throat and he lunged at her, pulling her onto the bed and plucking the case out of her hand. He set the bag on the nightstand and pulled her against him.

"Very, very bad," he said.

My 7 sentence offering this weekend hints at a little trouble in paradise. Who hasn't seethed with jealousy at seeing their significant other talking to their ex? That's exactly what happens to Onyx while she's out clubbing in Rome.

 

Onyx let out a growl, ignored Kipp's question, and attempted to push her way off the dance floor. Every way she turned, she kept getting boxed in. Dancers got in her way, or guys tried to grab her. By the time she found Cole again, Isobel was gone. Cole stood up and made his way into the crowd. When he reached her, he stood in front of her with his arms folded across his midsection. A small smile flickered over his sensuous lips. She instantly forgot her irritation at seeing Isobel.

My Sexy Saturday

Wow! Time has flown! I can't believe I haven't done this since JULY! Happy Autmn everyone! Fall is by far my favorite time of year. I love the changing leaves, the cooler air, pumpkin flavored EVERYTHING and most of all, HALLOWEEN! Love it! This year, I'm planning to go to a show on Halloween, just like I did last year! What are you planning to do? And most important what are you planning to dress up as?

For this week's My Sexy Saturday I chose an excerpt from my novella Onyx Night, available from Breathless Press. The story occurs around Halloween time, a very powerful holiday for the shifter community Onyx is from.

"You can hide here until after Halloween. My magic will protect you. Then I'll try to smuggle you out of the area where you'll be safe."

Cole's words lifted a great weight off her shoulders. "Thank you."

Onyx looked at him and smiled. Their eyes locked and she felt that tug again. Her body desperately wanted to be closer to him. She took a few steps in his direction. He stood rock still, and for a moment she thought he had stopped breathing.

"What is this? Do you feel it too?" 

"Yes," he said with a weary sigh. "I've felt it for a long time whenever you were near."

"Really?" She was beyond thrilled that he had noticed her in that way.

"It's your magic calling to mine."

"Oh." Well, that didn't sound very sexy.

"You seem disappointed."

She shook her head. "No. Not disappointed." Devastated, is more like it.

My Sexy Saturday (week 2 for me!)

I picked my seven sentences for My Sexy Saturday from ONYX NIGHT, since it is FREE until August 2nd at Breathless Press.

He mumbled and frowned. "Onyx."

She jumped at the sound of her name. Was he awake? Dreaming of her?

Interesting. He was dreaming about her. In exactly the way she wanted him to. It shouldn't be too hard to convince him to help her out with her little problem. She slipped into bed and pressed her naked body against him. He was shirtless, and his warm skin tickling her breasts felt like heaven. Very quietly, she skimmed her palm down his belly.

My Sexy Saturday

For my sexy Saturday post, I've chosen seven sentences from my novella ONYX SHADOWS, which comes out on August 2nd.

A tingling feeling spread through her as she watched a half-naked Cole move through their hotel room. Still distracted by the wet shirt, he didn't notice her advancing on him until she reached out to brush her fingertips over his bicep.

"My, my, professor, you're all dirty," she put a little extra purr into her voice. "Want to get dirtier?" She bumped him with her hip to punctuate her words, not that Cole was dense. He knew what she wanted.

He reached out, wrapped his hand around her arm then pulled her close. Molten sensation rushed through her body. She reached out and ran her tongue over the hard muscles of his chest...

"Mmmm, hot chocolate."

Hmmm...I think I went over my 7 sentences. Shhhh, don't tell!
